Our PTA wants to say thank you to Vertical Adventures for helping at our first ever back to school bash. Vertical Adventures sent volunteers to Alcott to help make sure the event went smoothly.
Not sure what Vertical Adventures is? Well, we have you covered! Take a look at their classes for kids. If you think this is something that your kids would be interested in, fall registration ends 8/29/16 so you’ll need to enroll quickly. We plan on also being able to get you information on the next registration that opens up as soon as it is available.
We hope that everyone has had a great start to the school year. Only 276 more days till summer break!
We wanted to get the word out now during the beginning of the school year in hopes that the early notice will help keep one of the kids favorite events going. We are desperately in need of a Fun Fair Chair and Co-Chair. As many of you probably remember last year we had to cancel the event due to lack of volunteers. We would love to be able to have the event this year but won’t be able to do so without YOUR help.
If you are interested in being this year’s Fun Fair Chair, please send an e-mail to Suzanne McConnaughey at firstname.lastname@example.org or to Mike Toth at email@example.com. Bring a friend along for your Co-Chair if you know someone who would be able to help you out!
Parents, this is a reminder that it is very important for you to log on to your Parent Portal account in PowerSchool to update your child’s contact and emergency information before the first day of school. Beginning this year, we will not be doing hard copy emergency medical forms or permission forms. Your child’s on-line information will be our only source of information in case of an emergency. Information about how to correct student forms was distributed at Back to School Day and is attached to this e-mail. It can also be found on the Alcott school website.
We appreciate your help and cooperation in working with us to keep your student’s important information updated. If you have any questions about the process or about your child’s account access information, please contact Mrs. Williams in the school office. We look forward to seeing your child on the first day of school!

PTA Meeting at 6:30pm tonight has been moved to the GYM due to a scheduling conflict ! It will be followed by the GEM/Scholarship/Reflections awards ceremony at 7pm!
Please help us support our wonderful PTA student volunteers on May 2! Just print out the BW3 ticket below. THANK YOU!
Dear Community Members,
Over the years, our Westerville Central Key Club has been of service at various events, such as Father-Daughter Dances, Westerville’s Easter Egg Hunt, Genoa’s Easter Egg Hunt, Art Bazaars, childcare for elementary PTA meetings, regattas, or helping at elementary events such as Fall Festivals and Literacy & Science Nights. We are turning the tables and now asking for your help!
Our Key Club depleted our funds by attending a leadership conference this March, so we are trying to build our account back up to start next year out strong. Our next opportunity to raise funds is this Monday, May 2nd at BW3’s, Eat Wings, Raise Funds night on Polaris Parkway. If you eat there any time after they open at 11 AM, then 10% of all pre-taxed sales from any guest that presents the attached fundraising ticket will be donated to our club!
Thanks for helping us prepare for next year!! Please feel free to pass along this email to anyone who you think would be interested in helping us out. If you are unable to attend BW3’s but would like to contribute, please contact me about other ways to help. We cannot thank you enough!
